Supreme Court Notices
10/27/2017 -- On November 13, 2017, the U.S. Supreme Court’s electronic filing system will begin operation. While paper will remain the official form of filing as under existing practice, parties represented by counsel will also be required to submit most documents through the new electronic filing system. Attorneys who expect to file documents electronically will need to register in advance for the system.

10/25/17 -- Amendments to the Rules of Appellate Procedure, effective January 1, 2018
08/23/17 -- Amendments to the Rules of Appellate Procedure, effective October 8, 2017
06/26/17 -- The Judicial Branch is now posting online headnotes for both Supreme and Appellate Court opinions. These headnotes, which accompany individual Supreme and Appellate Court decisions, include a short summary of the ruling and the procedural history of a case. The Reporter of Judicial Decisions prepares the headnotes, which are not part of the opinion. As such, the opinion alone should be relied upon for the reasoning behind the decision.

05/26/17 -- Notice regarding posting dates for dockets and assignments for the 2017-2018 Court Year
05/01/17 -- Notice regarding Subscription for receiving Email Notice for Case Activity in Supreme and Appellate Court Cases
04/28/17 -- Effective March 31, 2017, Carolyn C. Ziogas was appointed the Chief Clerk of the Supreme Court and Appellate System.
08/05/16 -- Effective December 1, 2016, the Supreme Court and Appellate Court dockets and assignments will no longer be printed and mailed. See details.
Note Concerning Supreme Court Panel Assignments: When it becomes necessary to add a Judge of the Appellate Court to the panel in any Supreme Court case after oral argument, the longstanding policy of the Supreme Court is to make the assignment on a rotational basis beginning with the Chief Judge and proceeding on the basis of seniority.
