Administrative Trainee

Seeking an Administrative Trainee for the Administrative Services Human Resource Management Unit located in Hartford, Connecticut. The selected candidate will receive on-the-job training to qualify for advancement into a professional level position within Human Resource Management.

The selected candidate will be trained in workplace investigations and labor relations as part of the Human Resource Management Legal Unit.

DIVISION: Office of the Chief Court Administrator; Superior Court

CLASS DEFINITION: Under the direction of an employee of higher grade, receives on-the-job training in introductory court administration for a technical or professional position within the Judicial Department.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Receives on-the-job training to qualify for advancement into a technical or professional level position within a division; performs a variety of increasingly responsible tasks in one or more administrative units; performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: A Bachelor's or a Master's degree.*
*Note: Incumbents with a Master's degree may be hired at step 2 of the pay group.

APPOINTMENT: Appointment to positions in this class shall be for a period not to exceed twenty-four months.
