Changes to Document Titles (Legend Codes) for Civil E-filing

The document titles (legend codes) used in e-filing in civil cases will change April 1, 2013. The legend code selected when e-filing a document determines if and when it will appear on a short calendar, and if it will be brought to the attention of a clerk.

To help filers in choosing the correct legend codes in civil cases, duplicate legend codes and family-specific legend codes have been removed. Other legend codes have been replaced with codes containing more detailed descriptions, including Practice Book sections and form numbers, if a form is available.
