Judicial District Locations: Ansonia-Milford, Danbury, Fairfield, Hartford,
Litchfield, Middlesex, New Britain, New Haven, New London, Stamford-Norwalk, Tolland, Waterbury, and Windham.
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking qualified individuals for the Superior Court Operations Division to record verbal testimony during courtroom proceedings using electronic equipment. Successful candidates will set up and test equipment; monitor recordings using earphones; maintain proper notes of proceedings; prepare transcripts; maintain records and files; and perform other related duties as required.
Minimum requirements are two (2) years of clerical experience and the ability to produce typewritten material at a rate of 50 wpm. Substitutions allowed: College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of one year.
This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Selection of a Judicial District indicates willingness to accept assignment at any location within the District and may not be limited by the applicant.

Current starting salary is approximately $42,055 annually – plus State of Connecticut benefits.
