Diversity Week 2014 Opening Celebration
The Connecticut Judicial Branch Celebrates Diversity Week with a variety of sessions on the theme, Culture Matters. Throughout the week of October 20-24th, trainings were available for Branch personnel throughout the state. Some of the topics covered at the opening day breakout sessions at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford included Gender, Culture and Diversity; Deaf Culture; Understanding Implicit Bias; Working with Gender and Sexual Minorities and Islam and Muslims.

The Diversity Week Opening Celebration was punctuated by Keynote Speaker Professor Dan M. Kahan, the Elizabeth K. Dollard Professor of Law and Professor of Psychology at Yale University.
