Judicial Branch Opportunities


Program Objectives
To provide the opportunities for high school students to:

  • Learn about the Judicial Branch and the services it provides
  • Complete school mandated requirements for graduation
  • Contribute to the community
  • Gain valuable experience and references
  • Further explore career interests and vocational skills

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must be a high school senior with an interest in the judicial system
  • Recommended and referred by their guidance / career counselor or other school administrator
  • Successfully complete the application, clearance and selection process
  • Be available to work a minimum of three hours per day two days per week
  • Must disclose any pending matter before the court
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Have the ability to work with diverse populations
  • Have ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must participate in the Court Aide Orientation

Upon receipt, the coordinator will review the application for completeness and eligibility. The coordinator will schedule a time to meet with the candidate to discuss available positions and qualifications/skills required.

The coordinator will schedule an interview with the workplace host and the candidate.
