JUROR ACCOMMODATIONS/COURT INFORMATION
The following information is intended to answer general questions regarding your first day of serving jury duty at the Enfield Superior Courthouse. Additional information may be obtained in the Jury Duty Handbook “Your Guide To Jury Duty” - (PDF)
ATTENDANCE |
First day jurors must sign in upon entering the jury room. Please arrive by the time indicated on your reminder notice. |

ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THE DISABLED |
If you have a disability and need a special accommodation, please call 1-800-842-8175, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and speak with a customer service representative. If you have a hearing related disability and require assistance, please dial 711. You may also email any request to jury.administration@jud.ct.gov |

JUROR STICKERS |
Juror stickers will be distributed to you upon arrival. Stickers must be worn at all times while you are in or about the courthouse. Stickers must be returned to the Jury Service Assistant (JSA) before leaving the courthouse at the end of the day. |

COURTHOUSE |
The Jury Room is located on the first floor of the Enfield Superior Courthouse. Jurors must avoid all other areas of the courthouse including courtrooms, restricted access hallways and juror deliberation rooms unless you are assigned to them. |

COFFEE / TEA |
Coffee (regular and decaf) and tea is provided free of charge |
|
SMOKING |
Smoking is allowed outside of the building. Jurors must be accompanied by a Marshal or member of the clerk’s office to smoke in designated smoking areas. |

QUIET LOUNGE |
A quiet lounge is available to jurors in the jury assembly room. |
|
ELEVATORS |
The courthouse is a single floor building; no elevators. |
|
STAIRWAY |
The courthouse is a single floor building; no stairs. |
|
RESTROOMS |
Two restrooms are located in the jury room. |
|
TELEVISIONS |
All programs are available for your viewing except for the news. Please change the station if news comes on. |

ATM |
No ATM is available at the courthouse. |
|
PUBLIC PAY TELEPHONES |
No public pay telephones are available inside the jury room. There is one public pay phone in the main lobby of the courthouse. |

LUNCH |
Lunch is generally between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be announced by the JSA or the Marshal. A listing of area food locations is available upon request. If you choose to bring a lunch, there is a refrigerator and a microwave. There is a coffee shop with a limited menu located in the main lobby of the courthouse but it usually closes at 1:00 p.m. |

CHANGE MACHINE |
We DO NOT have a change machine at courthouse. |

VENDING MACHINES |
No vending machines are located in the jury area. There is a beverage vending machine in the main lobby of the courthouse. Please bring change. |

| INTERNET ACCESS |
Internet access is NOT available in the Jury Assembly rooms. WI-FI is NOT available |

BEEPERS/RADIO DEVICES, ETC. |
Jurors may not bring disruptive items into the courthouse. A disruptive item includes, but is not limited to, the following: a radio, boom box, portable television, compact disc player/recorder, cassette player/recorder. If you have any questions regarding what to bring, contact Jury Administration at 1-800-842-8175. |
| LAPTOPS | Laptops are allowed. Special Note: The jury assembly room is equipped with only five electrical outlets. Also, the jury assembly room is not locked during regular business hours. |

ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES |
Jurors receiving credit for serving will be mailed a Certificate of Recognition of Juror Service. |
