Case Evaluation Conference Notice:
A case evaluation conference is scheduled for {DATE} at {TIME}. All
counsel and pro se parties must attend unless the parties file with
Caseflow not less than 3 court days in advance thereof a
Civil Case Management Report signed by all
appearing counsel/pro se parties with a pretrial date not more than the
earlier of: 1) 60 days after the filing of a Certificate of Closed
Pleadings (JD-CV-11), or 2) 120 days after the case evaluation

Status Conference Notice:

Hearing Before

An arbitration pursuant to C.G.S. § 52-549u is scheduled for {DATE} at

An arbitrator shall proceed with the hearing and shall make a decision
which shall be entered as a judgment by the court pursuant to C.G.S.§

Hearing Before
Fact Finder Notice:
A fact-finding hearing is scheduled for

Caseflow, Room 111. If you fail to appear, the hearing may proceed in
your absence and the court may either enter a judgment in accordance
with the fact finder’s decision or dismiss the case pursuant to C.G.S. §

Trial
Management Conference Notice:
A trial management conference is scheduled for {DATE} at {TIME}. Counsel
and pro se parties shall comply with the trial management order,
including filing a Joint Trial Management Report. Copies of the
standing trial management order are available at Caseflow or online.
Parties are to report to Room 111. Motions for continuance shall be made
on form JD-CV-21 not less than 3 court days in advance and will not be
granted absent good cause and all parties’ consent to a proximal
continuance date.

Standing
Trial Management Order (TMO):
In all cases to be tried to a judge or jury the counsel and pro se
parties shall jointly prepare and file at the trial management
conference a Joint Trial Management Report. Plaintiff’s counsel
shall prepare and serve on defense counsel at least 10 days in advance a
draft report and defense counsel shall respond within 5 days.
Thereafter, counsel shall finalize their joint report prior to the trial
management conference date.
The minimum contents of this report are
as follows:
- Joint description of the case
suitable for reading to the jury panel when the case is introduced,
including the names and places of residence of the parties and the
date, place and nature of the incident in issue.
- Joint list of the factual and legal
issues, which are in dispute.
- Joint list of pending motions,
pending requests for discovery and proposed evidentiary motions.
- List of trial exhibits reasonably
expected to be introduced by each party;
- indexed by P plus number for
plaintiff(s) and by D plus letter for defendant(s);
- briefly describing each exhibit;
and
- indicating whether any party
objects to the admission of the exhibit, and if so, stating the
grounds. After the trial management conference and prior to the
commencement of trial, all exhibits listed in the Joint Trial
Management Report must be marked with a court clerk as full
exhibits or for identification.
- List of all witnesses reasonably
expected to be called by each party;
- in the sequence in which they
will be called; and
- stating the name and
relationship to the case (e.g. party, witness, expert) of each.
- A joint estimate of the number of
days required for jury selection (jury trial only).
- Joint estimate of the number of days
required for evidence.
- Requests for charge on issues of
liability, damages and evidence on paper and computer disk (jury
trial only).
- Jury proposed interrogatories and
proposed verdict forms (jury trial only).
Report must be typed and signed by all
counsel and pro se parties of record. Parallel reports from two or more
parties are not acceptable. The parties must cooperate with each other
to prepare a single, integrated report covering each of the foregoing
matters.
Possible sanctions for failure to
comply with the TMO are judgment of dismissal, nonsuit, default,
exclusion of exhibits or witnesses at trial, or other sanctions.
