Demystifying the Connecticut Judicial
HARTFORD The television series
entitled "Dialogue with Laurel Vlock" will feature representatives of the
Connecticut Judicial Branch in a program entitled, "DIVORCE: Demystifying the
Connecticut Judicial Process."
The program will air on the Comcast Cable System
(Channel 28) on the following Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.: January 20, 2000, January 27, 2000
and February 3, 2000. In addition, the program will air at 11:00 p.m. on the following
Sundays: January 23, 2000, January 30, 2000 and February 6, 2000. The Comcast Cable System
serves the towns of: New Haven, West Haven, and Hamden.
The program will instruct and educate members of
the general public as to what to expect when initiating divorce proceedings in
"Viewing DIVORCE: Demystifying the
Connecticut Judicial Process will give the citizenry of this state a unique
opportunity to see how our court system handles these complex, and troubling cases,"
said Judge Robert C. Leuba, Chief Court Administrator. "An understanding of the
process is so very important in our society today. This program will impart valuable
information in an entertaining and thought-provoking manner."
" DIVORCE: Demystifying the
Connecticut Judicial Process is a must-see for those who sadly find themselves
involved in a divorce," said Judge Anne C. Dranginis, Chief Administrative Judge,
Family Division. "This comprehensive program will focus on the emotional impact of
divorce, what one can expect to happen once in court, and how the courts can assist
individuals through this transition through the use of mediation. I urge everyone who is
involved in divorce proceedings or individuals with loved ones obtaining a divorce
to watch this show."
Joining Judge Dranginis in the program will be
other Connecticut Superior Court judges, and members of the Court Operations and Court
Support Services Divisions.
Hosting and producing "DIVORCE:
Demystifying the Connecticut Judicial Process" is Laurel Vlock. Ms.
Vlock, a lifelong
Connecticut resident, has more than thirty years of experience as a TV anchor or producer.
