Locations: Ansonia/Milford, Fairfield, Danbury, Hartford,
Litchfield, Middlesex, New Britain, New Haven, New London, Stamford/Norwalk,
Tolland, Waterbury, and Windham.
The Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking qualified individuals for the Superior Court to record verbal
testimony during courtroom proceedings using electronic equipment.
Successful candidates will set up and test equipment; monitor recordings
using earphones; maintain proper notes of proceedings; prepare transcripts;
maintain records and files; and perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of clerical experience and the
ability to produce typewritten material at a rate of 50 wpm; considerable
ability to prepare typewritten documents, correspondence and reports.
College training may be substituted for the experience to a maximum
of one year.
Salary: $14.96/hour. Potential eligibility for health
